5th Annual Champions Taekwondo Frenzy - 2023

Date: Sunday, June 11, 2023

Location: Kings Court Slade View, Mississauga, 4190 Sladeview Crescent

Taekwondo students at Champions Martial Arts are encouraged to participate in this yearly tournament to test their courage and skills against other opponents in friendly competition.  Regardless of the outcome, it is a learning experience to build confidence, sportsmanship, and strong moral character.  That is fantastic if a student humbly wins a medal or trophy. If they lose or do not receive a trophy, then they will learn how to accept loss with humility, grace, good sportsmanship, and determination to work harder to be better, faster, and stronger the next time.

Note: Every participant with good spirit will receive a medal regardless of his/her result.

Frenzy meaning:

Frenzy is derived from the Latin word phreneticus meaning "delirious." If you're in a frenzy, you're certainly delirious. It is a condition in which a large group of people exhibit the same state of excitement  and mental agitation. You can be in a frenzy because something made you happy — Frenzy is often used when talking about a group of people who get worked up at the same time about the same thing…

It is the Champions’ Rage and Excitement

General rules and conduct

Champions Taekwondo Frenzy is a championship that will allow Taekwondo Champions Martial Arts students and associate club students to participate in this event.

How do we show commitment? One way is by enforcing rules, showing discipline, and ensuring the safety and success of all competitors. Below are some of our most important rules and code of conduct:

·        Females will be competing against other females, and males will compete against other males.

·        Participants should arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of their competition.

·        Participants should always listen to the P.A. system announcer for updates regarding changes to the tournament schedule.

·        Referees – and their decisions – must be always respected.

·        Zero tolerance policy for disrespectful language and conduct.

Everyone wants to be successful but to accomplish that you must always be respectful and understand that within the Taekwondo philosophy, success isn’t measured by wins or losses. Success is measured by the perfection of those who participate. It takes incredibly hard work and discipline to attain perfection. To help ensure that, discipline is consistently enforced to the strictest of levels.
