7th Champions Taekwondo Frenzy – 2025

Taekwondo students from Champions Martial Arts are invited to participate in this annual tournament, designed to test their courage, skills, and competitive spirit in a friendly and well-organized environment. Regardless of the outcome, participants will gain valuable experience, build confidence, sportsmanship, and develop strong moral character. Winning a medal or trophy is a fantastic achievement, but learning to accept loss with humility, grace, and determination to improve is just as important.

General rules and conduct

Champions Taekwondo Frenzy is open to all our Taekwondo students in all ages and belts.

• Maximum Capacity: 210 competitors (first 210 registered participants will secure a spot).
• Commitment to Discipline and Safety: Rules will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety and success of all competitors.

Colour Belt Sparring Rules

• World Taekwondo (WT) rules apply.
• The organizers reserve the right to separate or combine divisions at their discretion.
• Age & Match Duration:
• 11 years and under: Best of three rounds, 1 minute per round with a 30-second break (No head contact).
• 12 – 14 years: Best of three rounds, 1.5 minutes per round with a 30-second break (No head contact).
• 15 years and up: Best of two rounds, 1.5 minutes per round with a 30-second break (No head contact).
• Age and weight divisions will be applied appropriately.

Colour Belt and Black Belts Patterns (Poomsae) Rules   

·       Only Kukkiwon & WT-approved Poomsae are allowed.

·       Organizers reserve the right to separate or combine divisions at their discretion.

Poom and Black Belt Sparring Rules (High Performance Cadet and Junior Only)

• Current WT rules apply.
• 12 – 14 years (Born 2011, 2012, 2013): Best of three rounds, 1.5 minutes per round (Head contact allowed).
• 15 years and above (Born 2010 and older): Best of three rounds, 1.5 minutes per round (Head contact allowed).

Note: Organizers reserve the right to separate or combine divisions at their discretion.

Registration Fees 

• Registration Fee: $80 CAD (Covers up to two events – Poomsae & Sparring)
• No refunds for any reason
• Registration Deadline: June 26, 2025 (No late registrations accepted).

Tournament Schedule

• Ages 5 – 7 Years Old: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
• Ages 8 – 10 Years Old: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
• Ages 11 – 12 Years Old: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Ages 13 – 14 Years Old: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Ages 15 Years Old & Above: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

* Liability Waiver: By registering for the 7th Champions Taekwondo Frenzy Championship, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with sparring competitions.

While all safety measures and regulations will be strictly enforced, injuries may still occur. Participants agree to abide by all competition rules and waive all claims against any individuals or organizations associated with this event for any injuries sustained during participation.

Additionally, participants understand that any photos or videos taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes without compensation or prior approval.
